Humanity The Biggest Religion

Humanity, The Biggest Religion
------------------------------------

Humanity is a virtue associated with basic ethics of altruism derived from the human condition. It symbolises human love and compassion towards each other. Humanity means caring for and helping others whenever and wherever possible, helping others at times when they need that help the most and extending unconditional love to each and every living being on Earth forgetting selfish interests. The word humanity is from the Latin “humanitas” for human nature, kindness. It's also a word for the qualities that make us human, such as the ability to love and have compassion, be creative, and not be a robot or alien. Humanity is a quality of being human; the peculiar nature of man, by which he is distinguished from other beings. Being human does not mean that an individual possesses humanity. To understand the quality of humanity in an individual, one should take note of what one does for people who give noting back in return to the favor they have offered. Human being always dream to be a highly successful professional in life, but a few numbers aim to be a humane man; as a result successful professional men are increasing where humane men are not. An Individual should realize the fact and try to recognize good and bad sides with everyone. It is true that an individual’s life is successful not by the number of degrees he or she attains but by the degree of humanitarian activities that individual carries on a day to day basis.
The sole meaning of life is humanity. Humanity roles to introduce human values throughout generations or civilizations. In order to make the world a more peaceful place everyone should think about humanity. For that, we can no longer wait for our faith to save humanity, We have to take actions so that we can save the humanity. This does not mean that we cannot be proud of our community, proud of our nation, proud of our culture, or proud of our faith. It means we need to first think about humanity as a whole and not only our community, nation and not only our culture or not only our faith. If we respect our nation, community, culture or our faith then we should respect of everyone around there. The one thing we all have in common is that we are human beings. We all have a common dream of living in a peaceful world and we all dream of a prosperous future for our family. But We are unlucky that humanity is being slowly corrupted. Now a days an act of humanity is performed with thoughts or expectations of any personal gain or any form; may it be fame, money or power. It is regret that human being sometimes behaves cruelly with one another to earn illegal interest, sometimes tricks, apply muscle forces and even attacks their lives. Such evil activities lead the society to the dark, occur crime and break humane chain among human beings. In order to be a rich and wealthy, tension is gradually becoming ferocious. Besides, all over the world we see that Nations fight now and then to attain piece of land in the name of religion or patriotism, while millions of innocent people are lost or their homes are destroyed who are caught in the middle of this meaningless quarrels. The amount of divisiveness caused by human-made factors such as religion, race, nationalism that causing humanity to disintegrate slowly. In contrast to extending unconditional love to each and every living being on Earth, we are gradually forgetting the purpose of taking birth as humans that causes “Losing humanity”. Losing Humanity does not only mean to do bad work or harming anyone, it also has a relation with those who have forgot their responsibility of being human. If the people do not work on saving humanity then humanity will implode; continuously fighting and killing will be barrier of ever fulfilling our dreams of being humane. But it’s not about all, we never admit losing humanity. Mahatma Gandhi said, “You must not lose faith in humanity, Humanity is an ocean, if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. So, avoiding all dirty thoughts we should work towards a better future and at the same time be tolerant of our differences while keeping humanity as our foundation to build on. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity; more than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. Basically, differences are normal and should always be welcome, but any demonic thought that intends to harm the humanity should be nipped in the bud. When we speak of tolerance, it’s expected from each of us. There should not be any intolerant action by anybody that may incite others to react in an intolerant manner. Many a time, we expect tolerance from others while we behave in an intolerant manner. There should be a single scale to measure, a single mirror to reflect and that is humanity.
The most common way to understand humanity is – the value of kindness and compassion towards other beings. When we scroll through the pages of history, we come across lots of acts of cruelty being performed by humans, but at the same time, there are many acts of humanity that have been done by few great people. Mother Teresa is a real example of humanitarian who had dedicated her entire life to serving the poor and needy people. It is found that an extra- ordinary humanity in a human being has been portrayed beautifully by Mother Teresa. She saw the people she served for, as humans, a part of her fraternity. The great poet Rabindranath Tagore expressed his strong beliefs on humanity and religion in his nobel prize-winning piece Gitanjali. He believed that, to have contact with the divine one has to worship humanity. To serve the needy is equivalent to serving the divine power. Humanity was his soul religion.
Really, above all is Humanity, none else . Humanity comes from the most selfless act, and compassion one has. It includes everyone on Earth, but it can also refer to the kind feelings humans often have for each other. We should focus on people's potentials, choose to love, treat everyone as Equals, love ourselves and everyone, forgive and show Compassion. Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive. Nelson Mandela said, It is time for the next generation to continue our struggle against social injustice and for the rights of humanity. it is in your hands”. Finally we can say, humanity is the biggest religion. Being human is given but keeping human is choice, so we should keep it up.
